MINSK, 9 April (BelTA) – Belarus has significant tourism potential and numerous wonderful vacation destinations that could attract Turkish tourists, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Türkiye to Belarus Güçlü Cem Işık said during the 3rd Belarus-Russia Tourism Congress, BelTA learned.
The ambassador emphasized the popularity of Turkish resorts among Belarusians. In turn, the Turkish Embassy is working to promote Belarus as a tourist destination to ensure mutual tourist flows. "We attach great importance to properly showcasing Belarus in Türkiye. We believe that Belarus has considerable tourism potential. There are many beautiful places and natural attractions here that would interest Turkish tourists," Ambassador Güçlü Cem Işık stated.
He shared the figures for 2024, indicating that nearly 335,000 Belarusians spent their vacations in Türkiye. "This number has been increasing year on year. This year, we also see strong interest among Belarusian citizens in vacations in Türkiye," the ambassador remarked.
The diplomat also highlighted that Türkiye offers not only beach vacations. It is equally attractive to those who prefer active, cultural, religious, business and event tourism.
