
MINSK, 18 March (BelTA) – Specific dates for hosting a session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Minsk are being agreed. Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov made the relevant statement on the air of the TV channel Belarus One, BelTA has learned.
Maxim Ryzhenkov said: “A dialogue is in progress to agree specific dates for holding this event. The president wants it properly organized. The agenda should be saturated taking into account priorities of Belarus’ presidency over the Eurasian Economic Union.”
“Our priorities are very understandable,” he continued. “Those are economic integration, innovative cooperation, the introduction of big digitization in our relations, import-substituting projects, including manufacturing cooperation, humanitarian relations, and an increase in the international positioning of our organization.”
The minister of foreign affairs also pointed out: “The Belarusian side has presented an entire series of proposals, including with regard to acquiring the corresponding status for the Eurasian Economic Union in the United Nations Organization.”
