TASS: Russia, CSTO partners will discuss West’s permission to strike deep into Russia

MINSK, 24 November (BelTA) - At a session of the Collective Security Council in Astana, CSTO leaders will discuss the situation with the West's decision to authorize strikes with long-range missiles deep into Russia, TASS reported citing a source.

"A top-level session of the CSTO Collective Security Council will be held in the near future, and this matter will naturally be addressed. And during President Putin’s visit to Kazakhstan, we will conduct friendly talks on the Ukrainian crisis," the source told TASS.

He reiterated the fact that Russia and Kazakhstan are allies, with a treaty obliging them to provide mutual support in the event of aggression. "Therefore, this issue will certainly be on the agenda," the source noted.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to pay a state visit to Kazakhstan on 27 November. A day later, the Russian leader is expected to participate in the CSTO summit in Kazakhstan, the current chair of the group.
