MINSK, 29 July (BelTA) - The forthcoming visit of Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Qiang will send a strong investment signal to Chinese business, Belarusian First Deputy Prime Minister Nikolai Snopkov told the media in Minsk on 29 July, BelTA has learned.
“All specific issues of our relationship, primarily in terms of trade, economy and investment, will be on the agenda of the visit. It should be noted that the visit is historic. Belarus has not hosted China’s premier for 17 years. Therefore, we are confident that this visit will give a powerful signal to Chinese business to invest in Belarus. The economic strategy defined at the last plenum will be at the heart. These are new productive forces, including science, innovation, and human capital. Belarus will interact with China in this context,” Nikolai Snopkov said.
He said that during the visit, among other things, the parties are set to sign a document to declare next year as the Year of Science and Innovation in relations between Belarus and China. This will also give impetus to interaction in these areas.
