MINSK, 11 June (BelTA) - Belarus and Russia continue to successfully implement major projects across various sectors, despite facing sanctions and hybrid warfare, Belarus’ First Deputy Prime Minister Nikolai Snopkov said at a reception at the Russian Embassy in Minsk on the occasion of Russia Day on 11 June, BelTA has learned.

"For us, Belarusians, the successes of our allies are a cause for genuine joy," Nikolai Snopkov stressed.

He went on saying: "Our trade with Russia has reached a record high level: almost $60 billion. Despite facing sanctions and hybrid warfare, we are successfully carrying out large-scale projects in economy, energy, science, culture, and defense."
"By joining forces, we are steadily moving towards our main goal: creating decent living conditions and favorable opportunities for peaceful and productive work for our nations," Nikolai Snopkov stated.

"Our presidents, Aleksandr Grigorievich [Lukashenko] and Vladimir Vladimirovich [Putin], are true national leaders whose trust-based relationship sets the direction for cooperation and mutual understanding between our peoples," he concluded.

Russia Day is a national holiday of the Russian Federation celebrated annually on 12 June since 1992. It marks the adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic on 12 June 1990.
