MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) - Most parliaments of the world are ready to cooperate with the National Assembly of Belarus, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Igor Sergeyenko said at a sitting of the second session of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus of the eighth convocation on 17 September, BelTA has learned.
“The president has set a task to intensify the work on the global scale. All our international contacts and visits should be focused on concrete results, especially since most parliaments of the world are ready to cooperate with the National Assembly of Belarus,” Igor Sergeyenko said. “We develop strategic relations with our colleagues from Russia and China, building a dialogue with the parliaments of Azerbaijan, Egypt, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and other states.
“Our task is to focus on the implementation of reached bilateral agreements, especially on issues of economic nature. Here is a wide field of activity for MPs and standing commissions,” the speaker said.
