MINSK, 22 January (BelTA) – Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the People's Republic of China Yuri Senko met with Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Vladimir Norov, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in China.
Vladimir Norov emphasized that the Republic of Belarus that has an observer status in the organization has always had an active position with regard to the activities of the SCO; the country joined various mechanisms and initiatives and helped materialize them.
The parties exchanged views on the prospects of economic and humanitarian cooperation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Belarus agreed to share its expertise and knowledge in creating favorable conditions for international haulage and digitalization, which can be useful to the SCO member states.
Yuri Senko assured that Belarus is ready to actively participate in all types of the organization's activities. The diplomat reaffirmed Belarus' commitment to the principle of the ‘Shanghai spirit' that distinguishes the SCO on the international arena.
