Ryzhenkov, Gryzlov discuss Supreme State Council session, Eurasian security conference in Minsk

MINSK, 10 July (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Belarus Boris Gryzlov, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

Maksim Ryzhenkov and Boris Gryzlov discussed the schedule of events to be held within the framework of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, including the organization of a session of the Supreme State Council of the Union State on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Union State Foundation Treaty. The organization of a joint collegium of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Russian one was also discussed.

The Russian side expressed full support for Belarus’ idea to organize the second international high-level conference on Eurasian security in Minsk on 31 October – 1 November 2024 and expressed readiness to participate in it on a high level.

The sides confirmed the need to work together to promote the Eurasian Charter for Diversity and Multipolarity in the 21st Century.
