Ryzhenkov casts doubts on ability of Belarus 'propaganda' harm Western information machine

MINSK, 24 February (BelTA) - “The free world” is rapidly shifting its legal priorities to suit the political trends, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov said as he addressed the high-level panel discussion of the 58th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva on 24 February, BelTA has learned.

“Look how quickly the ‘free world’ is changing its legal priorities to suit the political trends. A short while ago, Olympic medals were given to transgender people in women's sports. But nowadays it is again considered the violation of women's rights. Because once again we are protecting women from the extremist gender ideology and are restoring biological truth. This is what the 'democratic' world says,” the minister pointed out.

“One more thing. 'Free Europe' shuts down Belarusian and Russian media on its territory. It has shut down practically all of them. Can our 'propaganda’, as they say, of a few channels harm the large-scale Western information ideological machine? No way! Even this right to access alternative opinions has been eliminated!” Maksim Ryzhenkov stated.
