MOSCOW, 6 June (BelTA) - The Russian Foreign Ministry supports the initiative of Belarus to develop an international legal document on the prohibition of unilateral sanctions, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said at the roundtable “The Union State: 25 years of integration - results and new challenges” at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, BelTA has learned.
Mikhail Galuzin recalled that the program of concerted actions in foreign policy of the Union State member states envisages taking joint measures to counteract the sanctions by the collective West against Belarus and Russia.
“In this context, we strongly support the initiative of our Belarusian friends to draw up a convention on the prohibition of the use of unilateral coercive measures as a universal multilateral legal document recognizing illegality, condemning the use and declaring readiness to counteract sanctions in international relations,” Mikhail Galuzin said.
