Rumas: Belarus-Russia integration outcomes are obvious, undeniable

MOSCOW, 20 November (BelTA) – The results of the Belarus-Russia integration are obvious and undeniable, Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Rumas told reporters after more than seven hours of negotiations in Moscow, BelTA has learned.

To illustrate his point, Sergei Rumas mentioned equal rights of Belarusian and Russian nationals, a common migration space, absence of border checks. In his words, the legal framework of Belarus-Russia cooperation comprises more than 300 interstate agreements and treaties that cover virtually all areas. At the same time he noted that the parties are to take important decisions to further integration in fuel and energy field, financial and credit system and transportation. “Our today's meeting focused on long-term prospects of the Union State integration,” the Belarusian premier noted.

“We have made substantial progress. We also gave additional instructions on unresolved issues to our governments,” he informed.

Sergei Rumas expressed confidence that the forthcoming session of the Union State Supreme State Council will mark the beginning of a new stage in the Union State development.
