MINSK, 5 December (BelTA) – Russian President Vladimir Putin accepted the Russian Foreign Ministry's proposal to sign the treaty between Russia and Belarus on security guarantees within the Union State, BelTA learned from the official website of legal information of the Russian Federation.
"To accept the proposal of the Russian Foreign Ministry, coordinated with the relevant federal government agencies, to sign the treaty between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus on security guarantees within the Union State. To authorize the Russian Foreign Ministry to introduce minor amendments to the draft treaty during the treaty negotiations," the document reads.
The document recommends signing the treaty at the highest level.
