Presidents of Russia, Iran to hold talks on 17 January

MINSK, 13 January (BelTA) – According to the Kremlin press service, Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to hold talks with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian as he travels to Russia on official visit on 17 January, TASS informs.

“The two leaders are expected to discuss prospects for further expansion of bilateral cooperation, including in trade and investment, transportation and logistics and humanitarian areas and also the topical issues on the regional and international agenda,” the press service said.

According to RIA Novosti, Putin and Pezeshkian are set to sign a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement after the talks on 17 January. The presidents are scheduled to make statements to the media.
