MINSK, 6 December (BelTA) – Belarus will respond with symmetric measures to another round of Western sanctions, Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said on the air of Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA informs.
“Naturally, decisions will be taken and announced immediately after the weekend. I would like to recall a line from our anthem: we, Belarusians, are peaceful people. This is our deliberate policy. We did not attack anyone, but since an economic or hybrid war was unleashed against us, it will not remain unanswered,” Roman Golovchenko said.
According to him, Belarus will take absolutely adequate measures. “This is only part of them. I want to emphasize that we are not going to use all possible instruments. Yet, retaliatory measures have been worked out, and the next round of measures will not be asymmetric, as we said, but symmetric,” the prime minister emphasized.
