MUSCAT, 14 October (BelTA) - We see the openness and readiness of the Omani authorities to develop relations with Belarus, Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko told the media on 14 October, BelTA has learned.
“The parties held detailed negotiations in the government and the State Council of Oman, as well as with the Crown Prince of this country. We see great openness and readiness to develop relations with our country across all the fields, political, inter-parliamentary, trade and economic ones. It is important that the development strategies of Belarus and Oman include areas where we can complement each other perfectly,” Roman Golovchenko said.
For Oman, one of the priorities is industrial development, the development of manufacturing industry, agricultural production, and food processing. “Belarus can offer all this to our Omani friends, taking into account the difficult path we have traveled. On the other hand, we need what is perfectly developed in Oman: logistics, re-export of goods, functioning of free economic zones, development of oil refining and chemical industry. The field for joint activities is huge,” the prime minister said.
On 13-14 October, the Belarusian head of government is paying an official visit to Oman, holding a number of important meetings. A big package of documents will be signed as a result of the visit.
