Plans to step up cooperation between Belarusian, Pakistani ministries of internal affairs

MINSK, 23 September (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Pakistan Andrei Metelitsa met with Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior of Pakistan (in the rank of the first deputy minister) Yousaf Naseem Khokhar, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

Topical aspects of Belarus-Pakistan relations were discussed. Andrei Metelitsa informed Yousaf Naseem Khokhar about the liberalization of Belarusian visa regulations, including for Pakistani citizens. The sides agreed that such a friendly initiative will have a positive impact on bilateral relations, including the expansion of business contacts and tourist exchanges.

Andrei Metelitsa and Yousaf Naseem Khokhar also discussed ways to invigorate cooperation between the Belarusian Internal Affairs Ministry and the Pakistani Ministry of the Interior. An agreement was reached to arrange consultations on improving the relevant bilateral legal base.
