MINSK, 26 May (BelTA) - Russia has not yet submitted a draft memorandum on a future peace deal with Ukraine. The work on the document continues, spokesman for the Russian president Dmitry Peskov told the media, TASS reports.

"The Russian draft memorandum has not been submitted yet,” he said. “Work is continuing. This is a serious draft, a draft of a serious document that demands careful checks and preparation," the Kremlin spokesman said.

The work to implement the Istanbul agreements will be continued, including on the exchange of prisoners of war.

He also said that at the moment there was no understanding on the venue and timing of the next round of talks with Kiev. “There is no clarity on the continuation of the negotiation process and its venue. We need to prepare for the next round, so it’s too early to talk about it," Dmitry Peskov noted.

The day before, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Russia and Ukraine completed a “1,000 for 1,000” prisoner swap in accordance with the Istanbul agreements of 16 May.
