MINSK, 3 January (BelTA) – The prime minister of Pakistan plans to visit Belarus this year, outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Belarus Sajjad Haider Khan said during a meeting with Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Igor Sergeyenko in Minsk on 3 January, BelTA has learned.
The Ambassador noted that the visit of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko to Pakistan in November 2024 served a new momentum for the relations between the countries in all areas.
“I am happy to announce that we are looking forward to the visit of the prime minister of Pakistan to Belarus, which will hopefully take place before April 2025, and we will also be looking forward to the visit of a ministerial delegation from Pakistan,” Ambassador Sajjad Haider Khan said.
“We hope that all the agreements and also the roadmap, which was signed during the president's visit and which touches upon areas of cooperation such as agriculture, industry, trade and economy, will be fulfilled to the maximum,” the ambassador added.
