Pakistan intends to intensify exchange of business visits with Belarus

MINSK, 20 August (BelTA) – Pakistan intends to intensify exchange of business visits with Belarus, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Sardar Ayaz Sadiq told the media after the talks with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko in Minsk on 20 August, BelTA learned.

Sardar Ayaz Sadiq believes that at the Belarusian-Pakistani trade does not meet the potential and urged to take comprehensive measures to boost it. With the aim of establishing closer contacts between businessmen and enterprises of the two countries, it is important to intensify the exchange of visits between the business communities of Belarus and Pakistan.

"In October of this year, we are looking to host a high-level delegation from Belarus," he informed.

In addition, the speaker of the National Assembly of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan spoke about the importance of ramping up contacts with Belarusian colleagues in the parliamentary line.
"As part of my second cadence as Parliament Speaker, Pakistan and Belarus signed an agreement on inter-parliamentary cooperation. We need to tap into this document in order to intensify these ties," he said.
