MINSK, 20 July (BelTA) – The United States is addressing its financial issues at the expense of Ukraine, assistant professor at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), political scientist Sergey Karnaukhov told the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA informs.
“The world sees who we are. We are able to defend our borders, we are able to defend our interests. The Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline is full; all you need to do is to turn the tap on and sign one paper. Five minutes after a political decision to defreeze Nord Stream 2 is made, European gas storage facilities will be filled with gas and burners in all European homes will be lit. The issue of gas supply will be removed. The same applies to all other embargoes. This is a matter of one day,” the expert said.
The political scientist went on saying: Europe needs to stop being under the sway of the USA and Great Britain. “Everything depends on the special operation. What is happening today in Ukraine is an important, weighty, media reason to put pressure on our country and let the Americans solve their financial issues,” he said.
