MINSK, 22 February (BelTA) - The world order for the next 20-30 years is being decided these days, Aleksei Avdonin, an analyst with the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research (BISR), said on the air of the STV channel on 21 February, BelTA has learned.
"I would like to cite one term, which is also used by the NATO political and military command. It is called ‘the ninth wave'. This term, by the way, was first used by Trotsky when he described the situation when the counterrevolutionary forces were advancing on Petrograd. He said that they were running out of steam. The ninth wave meant that though on offensive they were already on their last legs," said Aleksei Avdonin.
“This is exactly what we are witnessing now. We must understand and realize that in January Russia put forward the proposals on security guarantees. In fact it issued an ultimatum to the United States. Now we are actually witnessing the last convulsions of the United States, because they are playing the last card that they have: the trump card of the DPR and the LPR. This is an intentional act. But they understand that there will be no tenth, twelfth and subsequent waves. The wave will subside, as they are running out of resources, losing political positions. Moreover, NATO will be roiled by infighting, while Europe will be up against the Anglo-Saxon world,” he noted.
“In fact, the world order is being decided for the next, probably, 20-30 years these days,” he said.
