MINSK, 23 April (BelTA) – The events unfolding around Belarus and Russia are attempts to subjugate these countries to Americans, Russian public figure, publicist, blogger Nikolai Starikov told the ONT TV channel on 22 April, BelTA informs.
The host of the program, head of the ONT TV channel Marat Markov recalled the latest news stories circulating in the Western media (allegations about Russia's involvement in an explosion at a Czech arms depot in 2014 and the expulsion of Russian diplomats, the situation around Alexei Navalny, the sanctions against Belarus and Russia, the political crisis over the events in Ukraine) and asked the guest whether he thought these events were connected with the foiled attempt to stage a mutiny in Belarus.
“Everything is interconnected. We see collective efforts to make us, I mean the Union State, Russia and Belarus, kowtow to the United States. So far, they have failed, thank God,” Nikolai Starikov answered.
According to him, coups and assassinations of country leaders are the MO of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency. In the 1960s-1980s, the CIA was actively involved in such things in other countries, the publicist noted. We have forgotten about this somehow as this tactics has been replaced by color revolutions, he said.
