MINSK, 25 June (BelTA) – Chairman of the State Administration Council, Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Min Aung Hlaing has arrived in Belarus on a working visit. His aircraft landed at the Minsk National Airport, BelTA has learned.
An impressive delegation accompanied the prime minister from Myanmar to the Belarusian capital city. In addition to taking part in the Eurasian Economic Forum Min Aung Hlaing is expected to visit a number of Belarusian enterprises.
A session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council and the 4th Eurasian Economic Forum will take place in Minsk on 26 June and 27 June. The events have been organized as part of Belarus’ presidency in bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union in 2025.
Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko will chair the EAEU summit. Together with other heads of state he will take part in the plenary session of the forum. Representative delegations from tens of countries are expected to attend the events.
The Eurasian Economic Forum will start working at premises of the Minsk International Exhibition Center on 26 June. The Belarus president will participate in the plenary session “The strategy of Eurasian economic integration: Results and prospects”. The forum’s program includes a total of six major thematic blocks comprising 35 events, with more than 2,700 participants from 33 countries expected to attend.
The summit of EAEU leaders will take place at the Palace of Independence on 27 June under the chairmanship of Aleksandr Lukashenko. The agenda includes pressing matters of Eurasian integration, which are related to international activities, strategic directions of development of Eurasian economic integration, the liberalization of services in the EAEU, economic cooperation in sport, and the expansion of trade and economic interaction with the EAEU’s main partners.
