MPs of Belarus, Iran discuss plans to promote bilateral contacts

MINSK, 13 July (BelTA) – The Belarus-Iran parliamentary friendship group at the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus is visiting Tehran, the Islamic Republic of Iran, on 11-14 July, BelTA learned from the press service of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly.

On 12 July, the head of the parliamentary friendship group, Chairman of the Standing Commission on International Affairs of the House of Representatives Andrei Savinykh met with Chairman of the Iran-Belarus parliamentary friendship group at the Assembly of the Islamic Council of Iran Abolfazl Amouei.

The parties discussed bilateral cooperation, including economic and academic contacts, with a focus on inter-parliamentary cooperation. The heads of the parliamentary friendship groups reaffirmed their commitment to promoting cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
