MINSK, 23 December (BelTA) - The meeting with the Belarusian president was very important and fruitful, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin told the media in Minsk on 23 December, BelTA learned.
“This meeting will give a good impetus to the relations not only between Minsk and Moscow, but between Moscow and the Republic of Belarus in general. The meeting was very important and fruitful,” the mayor of the Russian capital said.
Answering the question whether there are any points hindering the development of more robust cooperation, Sergey Sobyanin said: “There is truly nothing to complain about. For the last two years alone the trade between Moscow and Belarus has grown by almost 30%. The supply of construction materials surged by almost 60%. Tourist flows have gone up by almost half. So we can only wish that our relations will continue to develop in the same way.
The mayor of Moscow said that the meeting with the Belarusian president covered a wide range of issues, starting from trade relations and enduring with industrial development. Particular attention was paid to such areas as automobile manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, electronics, humanitarian cooperation, interaction in education, healthcare, tourism. The development of artificial intelligence and various urban services were also among the topics touched upon.
