TASHKENT, 8 February (BelTA) – Belarus and Uzbekistan have managed to bring their relations to a substantially new level, Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said at the talks with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko in Tashkent, BelTA has learned.
“In recent years, we have jointly managed to dramatically change the nature and essence of Uzbekistan-Belarus relations, bringing them to a qualitatively new level. Never in the history of our relations have we had such mutual understanding, such progress,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
According to him, the Forum of Regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan that had been held the day before demonstrated great cooperation potential.
“We have been waiting for this meeting for a long time. Your visit to Uzbekistan and the success of the events held the day before once again confirm our mutual commitment and determination to strengthen our cooperation,” the president added.
