MOSCOW, 25 November (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia intend to more persistently demonstrate to their Western partners the destructive fallacy of their confrontational path, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov told journalists following a joint meeting of the collegiums of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Russia in Moscow on 25 November, BelTA reports.
“At the same time, we have once again loudly and clearly reaffirmed our shared, unwavering commitment to resolving conflicts exclusively through peaceful, diplomatic means,” the foreign minister emphasized. “Minsk and Moscow remain fully open to negotiations with all parties to address the deep, root causes of the military-political crisis in Europe.”
He went on saying: “We will even more persistently and convincingly demonstrate to our Western partners the pernicious fallacy of their confrontational course, the self-evident harm of sanctions for all involved, including their initiators, and the historical inevitability of a new, equitable model of international cooperation.”
Maxim Ryzhenkov is on a working visit to Moscow on 24-25 November to participate in the annual joint meeting of the collegiums of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Russia. These joint meetings have been held annually since 2000, alternating between Belarus and Russia, and serve as an effective mechanism for synchronizing the two countries’ efforts on the international stage. This year’s focus included reviewing the interim results of the previous meeting’s decisions and the program of coordinated foreign policy actions for the Union State members for 2024-2026, among other key issues.
