Makei tells French, German ambassadors about Belarus' partnership principles

MINSK, 16 April (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Belarus Nicolas De Lacoste and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Belarus Manfred Huterer, the ministry's press service told BelTA.

During the meeting the sides discussed the state of Belarusian-European relations and bilateral relations as well as topical items on the international agenda.

Vladimir Makei informed the ambassadors about progress in the constitutional process going on in Belarus and about other matters concerning the development of the situation inside the country.

It was objectively confirmed that the approaches and principles Belarus is ready to build interaction with Western partners on will be preserved. The mutual interest of the sides in preserving communications channels, continuing routine contacts, and maintaining the dialogue was confirmed.
