MINSK, 19 August (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei met with UN Resident Coordinator in Belarus Joanna Kazana-Wisniowiecki, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Vladimir Makei informed the UN resident coordinator about the situation in Belarus after the presidential election.
“The minister stressed the importance of the evolutionary development of the country without foreign interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign state,” the ministry said.
The parties also discussed the areas and priorities for further cooperation between Belarus and the UN.
