Makei, Lavrov discuss unobstructed movement of Belarusian, Russian citizens

MOSCOW, 18 June (BelTA) – Belarus' Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov discussed the unobstructed movement of citizens of the two countries during the talks in Moscow on 18 June. The Belarusian minister told reporters about it after the meeting, BelTA informs.

“We have discussed a topical issue concerning the unobstructed movement of citizens of our countries. A lot has been done for the resolution of this issue,” Vladimir Makei said. “But we need to move forward, to intensify air and railway transportation to reach the pre-pandemic volumes.”

Vladimir Makei deemed it necessary to simplify entry by road. Economic operators and citizens of Belarus and Russia are interested in it.
