MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) - Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a phone conversation on 25 May, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties exchanged views on the situation around the incident with the landing of a Ryanair aircraft and stressed the need for the full and objective investigation by professional bodies. Vladimir Makei once again confirmed Belarus' full transparency and readiness for open cooperation with the relevant international bodies, including the provision of all the necessary true information.
The parties also discussed the topical issues of bilateral relations and the situation in the region.
A schedule of regular contacts between the foreign ministers of Belarus and Russia for the near team was approved.
