MINSK, 16 February (BelTA) – Belarus and China are considering a possibility to advance bilateral relations to a higher level, Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei said at a press conference on 16 February, BelTA has learned.
“We are now working on arranging direct contacts between our leaders who are set to discuss a number of important matters that are expected to give a boost to our cooperation,” Vladimir Makei said.
The minister emphasized that China is a strategic partner for Belarus and Belarus is interested in promoting comprehensive cooperation with China. “We are interested in cooperation with those countries whose doors are open for us. Now we are discussing a number of projects designed to increase access for our products to the Chinese market. These are agricultural products and manufactured goods,” Vladimir Makei said.
