MINSK, 11 September (BelTA) – Belarus is truly proud of its all‑weather partnership with China, Belarus’ First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lukashevich said at the presentation of the Chinese‑language edition of the book “Belarus: United and Unconquerable. Minsk”, BelTA has learned.
“We are turning a new, bright page in the cultural dialogue between Belarus and China. This page is represented by the album ‘Belarus: United and Unconquerable. Minsk’ by Vladimir Likhodedov and Svetlana Khoruzhik. This book is not just a collection of photographs. It is a journey through time – a profound, poignant story about the fate of our people, which reflects the fate of Minsk. A city that endured unimaginable tragedy, was wiped off the face of the earth, yet, thanks to the incredible strength of our people's spirit, rose from the ashes to become a true symbol of courage and life triumphing over death,” he noted.
“The release of this book in the language of a friendly nation is another symbol that relations between Belarus and China are built not only on a solid foundation of economic and political cooperation. Their foundation is also built on a sincere mutual interest in each other's cultures and historical memories,” the diplomat remarked.
“Belarus is truly proud of the special all‑weather partnership with China that unites us. We always support each other in various ways, from large-scale joint projects to smaller-scale but equally important cultural initiatives, such as the one we are participating in today. It is projects like this book that remind us that the strong bond between countries, above all, is a bond between people,” Sergei Lukashevich said.
