Lukashenko's visit to Pakistan described as new momentum for bilateral relations

MINSK, 3 January (BelTA) – The visit of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko to Pakistan served as a new momentum for the relations between the countries in all areas, outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Belarus Sajjad Haider Khan said during a meeting with Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Igor Sergeyenko in Minsk on 3 January, BelTA has learned.

“Pakistan and Belarus have signed over 100 agreements and memorandums of understanding. The visit of the Belarusian president to Pakistan [in November 2024] served as a boon for our fruitful relations in all areas: economy, trade and politics,” the ambassador said.
“When I came to Belarus, I outlined two key areas to focus on. The first one is the promotion of cultural cooperation between our countries, the second - the development of relations with the Belarusian media. I would like to stress that we have succeeded in both of these areas. We have opened five cultural centers in different cities of Belarus. All these centers are in operation. We have also held over 15 exhibitions,” Ambassador Sajjad Haider Khan added. "I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the mass media of Belarus, because they helped Belarusians to learn more about my country.”
