
MINSK, 30 June (BelTA) - A Libyan government delegation arrived in Belarus on 30 June, BelTA learned





At the airport the delegation was welcomed by Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich. Libya is keen to strengthen cooperation between the countries in various areas. The guests are set to hold a series of meetings with senior officials and tour enterprises, medical and educational institutions.



In February, Minsk hosted Field Marshal and Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army Khalifa Belqasim Haftar. During the February meeting, the leaders of the two countries reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation. In May, a Belarusian delegation led by Viktor Karankevich visited Libya. The parties discussed ways of furthering cooperation in the manufacturing sector, agriculture, healthcare and other areas.
