Leaders of Pakistan, Oman, Guinea-Bissau, Vietnam, Zimbabwe expected to visit Belarus

MINSK, 18 March (BelTA) – Leaders of a number of foreign states intend to visit Belarus. Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov made the relevant statement on the air of the TV channel Belarus One, BelTA has learned.

Maxim Ryzhenkov drew attention to the fact that some forthcoming visits will be from remote countries, with which Belarus is stepping up cooperation. In particular, preparations are underway for a return visit of Pakistan’s prime minister to Belarus.

“We are also talking about a return visit of the sultan of Oman. We are conducting an active dialogue with him,” the official said. “In order to organize this visit well, entire groups of experts are working today. They focus on various matters: agriculture, woodworking, humanitarian affairs, transportation, and logistics. We will work out all the details and this visit will take place.”

Apart from that, a visit of the president of Guinea-Bissau is in the works.

“There are also plans for a visit of the secretary general of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Vietnam has presented a great deal of interesting ideas. We intend to confirm them during his trip to us,” the Belarusian minister of foreign affairs noted.

He also said that the president of Zimbabwe is expected to visit Belarus.
