MOSCOW, 5 October (BelTA) – Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov met with Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Stanislav Zas in Bishkek on 5 October. Stanislav Zas is on a working trip to Kyrgyzstan to discuss preparations for the upcoming session of the CSTO Collective Security Council, CSTO press secretary Vladimir Zainetdinov told BelTA.
“Sadyr Japarov and Stanislav Zas discussed in detail the situation in the CSTO's area of responsibility, with a focus on the situation in Central Asia,” the spokesman said.
“The CSTO secretary general briefed the president of Kyrgyzstan on the work to prepare for the upcoming meetings of the CSTO statutory bodies and the session of the Collective Security Council, which are to be held in Armenia this autumn. Stanislav Zas also updated Kyrgyzstan's head of state on the progress to fulfill a number of individual instructions of the CSTO Collective Security Council,” the press secretary added.
