Istanbul to host next round of Ukraine peace talks

MINSK, 20 July (BelTA) – The next round of talks between Russia and Ukraine will be held in Istanbul, TASS reports citing a source.

“Yes, Istanbul is an acceptable venue,” the agency’s source said when asked about the next venue for the peace talks.

The day before, a source close to Russia’s negotiating team confirmed that they had received Kiev’s proposal for a meeting. Earlier, another TASS source said that “the dates are still to be agreed upon”.

Ukraine’s Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov proposed a meeting with the Russian side for next week, Zelensky said in his video address on his Telegram channel.
