MINSK, 15 December (BelTA) – There are many fields for expanding cooperation between Iran and Belarus. Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Abbas Araghchi mentioned it during a restricted-attendance meeting with Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov, BelTA has learned.

Abbas Araghchi stressed that he was genuinely glad to visit Belarus and was thankful for the hospitality. “I am glad that in these complicated times on the international arena I am visiting Belarus and we can continue our dialogue,” the Iranian minister of foreign affairs stressed.
He drew attention to the positive and constructive negotiations with the Belarus president that had been held earlier that day and to the importance of the fact that the leaders of the two countries had the political will for expanding Belarus-Iran cooperation.

The adoption of the program on interaction between the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Belarusian one in 2026-2030 is on the agenda of cooperation between the two agencies.

A regular session of the Belarus-Iran intergovernmental commission took place not so long ago. The Belarusian industry minister visited Tehran. Abbas Araghchi remarked that good tangible agreements had been reached as a result of these events.
