Implementation of international agreements discussed in Minsk

MINSK, 20 September (BelTA) – A conference for Belarusian government institutions, diplomatic services, intergovernmental and state organizations entitled as Conclusion, Implementation and Explanation of International Agreements is underway in Minsk on 19-20 September, Anatoly Glaz, Head of the Information and Digital Diplomacy Office, Press Secretary of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told the media on 20 September, BelTA has learned.

The event is held by the Minister of Foreign Affairs jointly with the Council of Europe Information Point in Minsk. The participants of the meeting are discussing a new wording of the law on international agreements and recommendations developed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its application, and also some of the international agreements and documents of the Council of Europe as an example.

The program of the conference also features a meeting of the Scientific Advisory Council on International Law at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs chaired by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Kravchenko. Director for Legal Advice and Public International Law at the Council of Europe Jorg Polakiewicz and head of the Constitutional Law Faculty of the Department of Law of the Belarusian State University Grigory Vasilevich are discussing supremacy of law with the members of the council.
