MINSK, 11 July (BelTA) – It is in Hungary's national interests to maintain good-neighborly relations with Belarus, Chairman of the Hungarian Workers' Party Gyula Thürmer told the ONT TV channel, BelTA has learned.
“The world has changed. Hungary is a member of NATO and the European Union. Nevertheless, the Orban government [Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán] is trying to pursue the national interests of Hungary,” Gyula Thürmer said.
The Hungarian politician noted: “Our national interest is good neighborly relations with Belarus and the world.”
