MINSK, 28 October (BelTA) - Abandoning the use of NATO countries' currencies, their computing equipment, and information technologies will create an opportunity to establish a solid foundation for Eurasian security, State Secretary of the Belarus-Russia Union State Sergey Glazyev said at the 3rd Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security, BelTA has learned.
According to Sergey Glazyev, one of the weapons used by the West is lies. "The Belarusian president said today that banditry and theft have become the signature style of the ruling elite in Western countries; lies have always been their weapon. They have tried to deceive us always and everywhere. Not long ago, during the Minsk-1 and Minsk-2 negotiations, Western leaders and heads of state came essentially with hidden ill intentions, attempting to deceive us in order to militarize and 'Banderize' Ukraine,” he said.
“The Charter for Multipolarity and Diversity, an initiative put forward by the Belarusian leadership, serves as an alternative and requires a robust ethical foundation. The United States and its satellites have completely undermined international law. The World Trade Organization is no longer functional, the norms of the global financial system have been trampled upon, and universally accepted standards of business ethics are being ignored,” he said.
According to him, changing the paradigm is the most critical task. “The countries represented in this hall firmly adhere to traditional values, ethical norms, the principles of international law and sovereignty, and mutual commitments. A comparative analysis by our experts shows that the ethical norms and traditions of our countries share a common core of values. This core can form the foundation for establishing a new global moral and ethical system,” Sergey Glazyev noted. He emphasized that work has already begun on creating a large social network to unite hundreds of millions of citizens willing to adhere to traditional norms and ethics in their activities and to honor their commitments.
Sergey Glazyev noted that another critical component of security is information security. "Our countries are sufficiently developed to abandon the computing equipment and information technologies of NATO countries,” he stated.
“The Russian Federation has long advocated for the signing of an international convention on combating cyberterrorism. The majority of countries agree with this. However, the United States and its satellites refuse to sign this convention, effectively declaring that they will continue to engage in cyberterrorism against anyone they deem their adversaries,” Sergey Glazyev noted.
In summary, he remarked: “Abandoning the use of NATO countries' currencies, renouncing their computing equipment and information technologies, and establishing a social network and an alliance of shared moral and ethical values will enable us to build a truly robust foundation for Eurasian security.”
