Foreign ministers of Belarus, India discuss resumption of highest-level contacts

MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – Belarus' Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei met with India's External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on the sidelines of the Heads of State Council of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on 17 September, BelTA learned from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

The foreign ministers discussed ways to intensify political cooperation and a possibility to resume contacts at the highest and high levels, as well as interaction in international organizations.

The parties also exchanged views on topical issues of the international agenda.

Special attention was paid to the prospects of Belarus-India trade and economic cooperation.
