MINSK, 31 May (BelTA) - On 31 May, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik held talks with Mongolia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Batmunkh Battsetseg in Ulaanbaatar, BelTA learned from the ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties discussed the state and prospects of political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation and humanitarian interaction between Belarus and Mongolia.
During the meeting, the Belarusian minister thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia for the assistance and the work done ahead of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Belarus to Mongolia, the first one in the history of bilateral relations.
The ministers compared notes on the highest-level visit to Mongolia, discussed the bilateral documents planned for signing, the schedule of meetings of the delegation members with their Mongolian counterparts and the conduct of business events within the framework of the visit.
The foreign ministers agreed to coordinate joint work to ensure the high-quality implementation of the agreements that will be reached during the upcoming state visit to Mongolia.
