MINSK, 29 January (BelTA) - Russia will always occupy a key place in the foreign policy of Belarus, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov said in an interview with Izvestia, BelTA has learned.
“Russia will always hold the key place. Today, due to the conditions we are in, these relations are at the peak of their development, which let us move as quickly as possible along the path of mutual integration. The two countries are implementing a lot of import substitution and innovative development programs, which create a solid economic base for both countries. It is impossible to imagine the development of any sector of our economy without Russia,” the minister said.
The minister stressed that 2020 showed Belarus who its true partners are, and who has always looked at the country as a tidbit either from the economic point of view or from the point of view of the resource base and the realization of their geopolitical ambitions.
