MINSK, 29 October (BelTA) – Belarus is willing to develop cooperation with Syria in a wide range of areas, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov said as he met with Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Bassam Sabbagh in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
Maksim Ryzhenkov noted that Bassam Sabbagh is visiting Belarus for the third time, but for the first time in the capacity of a minister. He was appointed head of the Syrian Foreign Ministry not so long ago. So the current visit is of particular importance.

Your visit is a great opportunity to discuss bilateral cooperation in various areas of mutual interest (policy, trade, economy, and humanitarian matters) and regional and international security," the minister stressed.
