Expert shares thoughts on Lukashenko’s upcoming inauguration speech

MINSK, 25 March (BelTA) – In a recent episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA's YouTube channel, political commentator with the Rossiya Segodnya media group Vladimir Kornilov spoke about the words which are important to hear in the upcoming inauguration speech of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and also expressed the opinion that nobody but Russia, Belarus and their allies will do anything to restore Donbas and the affected regions.
When asked about what was important to hear during the inaugural speech of Aleksandr Lukashenko, Vladimir Kornilov said: “Actually, this is what we always hear from him when he meets with Vladimir Putin, including his recent visit to Russia. We hope that the Belarusian leadership will continue its course of rapprochement with the Russian state and we will develop joint projects to strengthen our security. I hope for the help of the brotherly Belarusian people in the restoration of my native Donbass and the affected regions of Novorossiya. I really hope that Belarus will help in any way it can.”
“During the Mariupol theater airstrike, Ukraine blamed Russia, Russia blamed Ukraine. But even without sorting out who hit the theater then, the Italian minister of culture said that Italy would invest and restore this theater, because theaters belong to the people,” the political observer said. “I have been reminding the Italians of this promise ever since. Come on, we are restoring everything in Mariupol. Theaters belong to the people, it doesn't matter to you which side this theater was on. Help us rebuild it. Do you think anyone in Italy remember this promise?”

“I assure you that no one, except Russia, Belarus and our allies, of course, will do anything to help and restore Novorossiya, Donbass, and Ukraine,” Vladimir Kornilov said.
