MOSCOW, 10 June (BelTA) – Russia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov and Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov adopted a joint address to foreign ministers of Eurasian states following their talks in Moscow. In this address they suggested joining the statement “On the way to the Eurasian Charter of Diversity and Multipolarity in the 21st Century”, BelTA has learned.

“We upheld the Belarusian initiative to develop the Eurasian Charter of Diversity and Multipolarity in the 21st Century. It could be prepared for signing at the highest level. We have adopted an address to foreign ministers of Eurasian states inviting them to start working on the text of this charter, put forward their proposals and look for common denominators,” Sergey Lavrov said.

He recalled that two international conferences on Eurasian security had already been held in Minsk, after which it was decided to hold this event every year. The next conference is scheduled for October this year.

“These discussions should be inclusive for everyone. This principle is already yielding results,” Sergey Lavrov said.
