Eswatini PM’s visit to Belarus to be first in history of bilateral relations

MINSK, 18 June (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to South Africa Igor Bely has been received by Eswatini Prime Minister Russell Dlamini, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties discussed the implementation of the April agreements between the head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission and King Mswati III of Eswatini, and also the program of the Eswatini prime minister's first visit to Belarus in the history of bilateral relations.

On the same day, the head of the diplomatic mission met with the healthcare minister of Eswatini. The parties discussed promising areas for the development of Belarus-Eswatini relations in healthcare with a focus on medical services, pharmaceuticals and training of healthcare specialists.

Belarus and the Kingdom of Eswatini established diplomatic relations not so long ago. The relevant joint communiqué was signed in Pretoria on 4 June 2024.
