MINSK, 24 June (BelTA) - Education is one of the most important areas of cooperation between China and Belarus, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus Zhang Wenchuan told the media in Minsk on 24 June, BelTA learned.
The ambassador noted that China-Belarus relations under the guidance of the leaders of both countries are at a high level. “Cooperation in education is one of the most important areas of cooperation between our countries, which our leaders pay attention to. Now a large number of Chinese students study in Belarus, and there are many Belarusians who have come to study in China. The number of such students is growing every year. Young people are our future, they are carriers of Chinese-Belarusian friendship. We want to enhance cooperation with Belarus in the field of education, strengthen our mutual understanding, so that our young people find a common language, common views on the future, so that they contribute, by their talent and abilities, to Chinese-Belarusian relations, so that our eternal friendship is passed down from generation to generation,” Ambassador Zhang Wenchuan noted.
Chinese students choose Belarus because good relations between the countries give them good guarantees. “Belarus is a unique country with a rich educational resource. Most importantly, people are very kind here. I think this is the reason why our students choose Belarus and Belarusian students choose China. We appreciate the level of cooperation that we have achieved in the field of education. I think that we will not stop at that and will go forward,” the ambassador added.
